Elizabeth Featherman joined the firm’s Philadelphia office in 2011. Elizabeth practices with the Intellectual Property Group, counseling clients in the technology industry, including telecommunications, medical device manufacturers, computers hardware and software, and manufacturers of optics and laser systems.
Elizabeth has experience handling patent prosecution and litigating patent infringement, trademark infringement, and misappropriation of trade secrets. She has also assisted in developing patent portfolios, negotiated and drafted various intellectual property agreements, conducted due diligence, and prepared non-infringement and invalidity opinions.
Elizabeth earned her law degree from Franklin Pierce Law center and was student editor of the Franklin Pierce Law Center Germeshausen Center for the Law of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Newsletter. She earned a certificate for completing the Chinese Intellectual Property Summer Institute program at Tsinghua University School of Law in Beijing. Elizabeth received her master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Mechanical Engineering and was a Doctoral Candidate there as well. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Elizabeth is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is fluent in written Chinese and Cantonese, and proficient in Mandarin.
