Attendees Prepare Themselves for Changes to Health Care by Continuing Education

Health Care Practitioners Join the A4M to Learn the New Advances in Medicine

Boca Raton, FL, July 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The American Academy of Anti-Aging has wrapped up another successful event this past week. With an outstanding turnout, A4M continues to be the leaders in Anti-Aging, Regenerative, and Functional medicine. This event focused on Lifestyle Coaching and Metabolic Triad, both modules are paving the way for preventive measures of lifestyle disease and conditions, had hundreds in attendance.

“I attended the Lifestyle Health Coaching conference because I was interested in seeing if this would be a good career path for me to take. It will fit in nicely, as I work in a medical aesthetics office, where I will already have a client base, and eventually I plan on developing my own business. It was an awesome experience overall, and I came away with so much valuable information! I would recommend this to anyone, if it is offered in the future,” stated Erin Martin.

Under the Affordable Care Act, preventive services for screening for Obesity and counseling, Diet Counseling, screening for Type 2 Diabetes for individuals with high blood pressure, and Cholesterol screening for individuals of certain ages or at higher risk, must be covered without you having to pay a copayment or co-insurance or meet your deductible.

The practice of Functional medicine seeks to identify and address the root causes of disease, and views the body as one integrated system, not a collection of independent organs divided up by medical specialties. Functional medicine practitioners provide chronic care management with the belief that diet, nutrition, and exposure to environmental toxins play central roles in functional medicine because they may predispose to illness, provoke symptoms, and modulate the activity of biochemical mediators through a complex and diverse set of mechanisms.

“Module XX- Metabolic Triads was a professional experience that helped me learn facts, thought processes, and application of diagnosis and treatment protocols in functional/regenerative medicine, and each faculty member presented in a captivating way. They introduced the basics of each triad then moved into clinical presentations with signs and symptoms and tied in clinical pearls including how to teach patients about their chronic illness. This was by far one of the most rewarding seminars I have taken so far in my early career. The most beneficial and rewarding part for me was working up cases in small groups with the ability to present our findings and receive feedback from the faculty members,” stated Dr. Rudy Mueller.

There is a new wave of medicine on the horizon; it’s time to prepare for The Future of Medicine.
