La Fète De La Musique at Sofitel Manila
Sofitel Manila, the only French 5 star luxury hotel in Manila, celebrated this year’s La Fète De La Musique at their elegant and enchanting Imperial Residence.
Pasay City, Philippines, August 02, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila Hotel celebrated this year’s La Fête de la Musique in an elegant, residential-style gathering at the newly launched Imperial Residence, Manila’s most luxurious collection of suites. The hotel’s top VIPs, friends and partners graced the occasion as they enjoyed a scrumptious French feast prepared by Sofitel’s executive chef, Eric Costille.
Sofitel Manila general manager Goran Aleks said, “We celebrate music annually at Sofitel and we are thrilled that our close friends and partners have come to share this occasion with us. The Manila Symphony Orchestra string and wind ensembles and songstress Chase Shellee performed for us, and the evening was simply exquisite.”
Guests nibbled on a stunning selection of canapés and amuse bouche such as foie gras terrine on fusette with wine crystals and apricot, Bresaola cubes with honey dew and cantaloupe, marinated prawns in caviar cream and ginger glazed chicken with soya jus. The Garde Manger corner featured a fine selection of farm cheeses and charcuterie, while master chef Eric Costille prepared tapas a la minute for guests at the Imperial Suite kitchen – pan-fried beef skewers with mashed potato, steamed shrimps with squid ink risotto and pan-fried duck liver dressed in mango chutney and raspberry balsamic kept guests coming back for more. A selection of patisserie and Sofitel’s famous artisanal chocolates were garnished with dainty chocolate musical notes.
In celebration of La Fête de la Musique, Sofitel’s opulent Imperial Residence featured a special champagne and caviar room, a martini bar at the suite’s veranda overlooking magical views of the bay, and a Belvedere vodka bar that had a whimsical ice sculpture dispensing fresh, ice-cold vodka, much to the guests’ delight.
