Over 1 Million Downloads Makes San Francisco’s DJ GRIND POPular
San Francisco, CA, August 02, 2012 --(PR.com)-- DJ GRIND (Stephen Massey) is making a name for himself as one of the country’s hottest new DJ’s on the gay circuit. He is the winner of the 2012 JustCircuit Award for "Pool Party of the Year" and 2011 GayDays National DJ Contest.
The San Francisco-based DJ's monthly podcasts have received more than 1 million downloads worldwide, and rank as one of the most popular dance music podcasts on iTunes. On July 30, 2012, DJ GRIND’s podcast was the #1 music podcast on Podomatic, based on download volume.
“Sharing my passion for music with others is such a gift,” said Massey. “I’m so honored that the music has resonated with people from all across the country and around the world.”
Earlier this year, DJ GRIND remixed his first commercial CD, POPular vol. 7 (Centaur Music). “DJ Grind is one of the country’s most sought-after up-and-coming DJs,” Centaur Entertainment’s President and CEO Nick DeBiase enthused. “I’m excited to have DJ Grind join the family of artists that have made the POPular series so successful.”
DJ GRIND is also the resident music critic for RealJock.com, where he provides the social networking site's 320,000 members with daily music reviews and exclusive downloads. This fall, he will release his first production project -- an official remix of Kimberley Locke's new dance single, “Feel the Love.”
DJ GRIND has been a featured artist on multiple RSVP Vacations' Caribbean and Mediterranean cruises, and he supported Kylie Minogue's 2011 "Aphrodite" World Tour as an opening act.
Over the past 12 months, DJ GRIND has headlined some of the country’s largest venues, including White Party Palm Springs (the country’s largest gay dance music festival), White Party Las Vegas, GayDays (Orlando), Winter Music Conference (Miami), RAPTURE Pride @ Commodore Ballroom (Vancouver, BC), Labor Day @ The Paramount (Provincetown), COBALT (Washington DC), Eleven (West Hollywood), Ruby Skye (San Francisco), and The Social (Seattle), among others.
