Cryout Will Give Fans a Free Show at the Hutchinson Emancipation Day Celebrations on Aug. 4 (This Saturday) After the Parade in Hutchinson, Kansas

New York, NY, August 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Cryout will give fans a free show at the Hutchinson Emancipation Day Celebrations on Aug. 4 (this Saturday) after the parade in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Tropical Recording artist, Cryout will play live this weekend to culminate the Hutchinson Emancipation Day Celebrations day parade on Aug. 4 (this Saturday). The Emancipation Celebration this year is a 3-Day party presenting not only Cryout that will play live on Saturday, there will also be jazz concert, gospel concert, art show, golf tournament, various sports activities, and the parade that will end up at the concert area. Cryout, one of the legendary roots reggae artists with Tropical (Records), has two CDs released through the label (Nothing beats A Failure But A Try, Righteous Medication For The Soul) and a live recording from the Oklahoma Blues Hall Of Fame show, in stores everywhere that sells music.

The Emancipation Celebration is a remembrance days to when the Civil War raged, Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation after the Battle of Antietam in August of 1862. The Proclamation decreed that on January 1, 1863, all slaves, including those owned in rebellious southern states would no longer be deprived of any life, liberty or property without the due process of the law. Therefore, while the Emancipation Proclamation freed the slaves on paper, the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution made in 1865, served as the legal justification for ending the practice of slavery throughout the United States, and/or that “No state can deprive any person of life, liberty or property without the due process of the law.” The signing of the Emancipation Proclamation was an important first step in gaining racial equality across the United and was first celebrated in Hutchinson in 1889.

Cryout plays live with his full band this Saturday, August 4th, after the gala parade and the festive events set up all day in Hutchinson, Kansas.
