Ashland University to Hold Visit Day for Careers in Law and Service Professions
Ashland University's Aug. 10 Visit Day for Careers in Law and Service Professions will be a special one because it will feature a number of attorneys as well as a former judge in Richland County sharing their wealth of information in the profession.
Ashland, OH, August 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Ashland University Summer Visit Day for Careers in Law and Service Professions set for Aug. 10 will be a unique program that will feature local attorneys and a former judge.
“The summer 2012 visit days have been set up to allow prospective students to experience Ashland University in a number of ways, including spending time with faculty, special guests and students as well as asking questions of admissions representatives,” said W.C. Vance, director of undergraduate admissions.
“The Aug. 10 Visit Day for Careers in Law and Service Professions will be a special one because it will feature a number of attorneys as well as a former judge in Richland County sharing their wealth of information in the profession,” he said. “This program will provide students with a clear understanding of the legal profession and how to get there.”
Vance said the students will have the opportunity to hear from faculty and staff in a number of academic majors that prepare students for legal and human service related careers, including social work, criminal justice, political science and the Ashbrook Scholar Program, pre-law, history, religion, English, public relations, strategic communications, and child and family studies.
Vance said the Summer Visit Day also will include a campus tour as well as an overview of scholarships and next steps for students considering Ashland University. “These unique summer events will allow prospective students and their parents to explore college majors that will help guide the students to career choices after graduation,” he said.
