Cambridge Who’s Who Names Denise R. Cascino Lifetime Member for Her Achievements in Animated Movie Production
Redwood City, CA, June 26, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Denise R. Cascino, co-producer for Dreamworks Animation, has been named a lifetime member of Cambridge Who’s Who for her dedicated work with Dreamworks Animation, the producers of computer-generated entertainment that appeals to all audiences. While inclusion in Cambridge Who’s Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who’s Who Executive/Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who’s Who selection committee hand picks these special honorees based on their accomplishments, academic achievement, leadership and service.
Cascino is an expert in the field of feature animation film production. She co-produced Shrek the Third, this summer’s animated blockbuster, featuring the voices of Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey, Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona, Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots, John Cleese as King Harold, Julie Andrews as Queen Lillian and Rupert Everett as Prince Charming. The film received excellent reviews and has already grossed nearly $250 million. Casciano’s cat, along with the cats of some other cast members, served as references for the animation and physical apperances of the movie’s cats.
Cascino was senior production manager for Shrek 2, production supervisor of the layout department for Shrek and production supervisor of layout for Antz, the 1998 animated movie about a worker ant who falls in love with a princess ant. Cascino’s other credits include working as co-executive producer on Twas the Night Before Bumpy and post-production supervisor of Bump in the Night, an animated series that aired from 1994 to 1995 on ABC. The series was filmed using claymation, a form of stop motion animation where each object and character is sculpted in clay or other pliable matter. Cascino was also
an animator for The 77th Annual Academy Awards.
Cascino received her bachelor of arts in broadcast communication arts from San Francisco State University in 1981. She is a member of the International Animation Film Society.
