Jurkowski Accepts Role in Citizen Leadership and Service Organization Dedicated to Development and Improvement of North Carolina

Established in Greensboro, N.C., in 1990, Leadership North Carolina is made up of approximately 50 citizen leaders who represent the various geographic regions and communities of the state from the public, private and nonprofit sectors. The organization encourages leaders from all areas and age ranges to be involved in each leadership class. Leadership North Carolina focuses on five areas: environment, health and human services, education, government, and economic development. Community members and leaders in each of those areas are encouraged to become involved and are important to the development and progress of the program.
