IFWTWA Scholarship Award Entry Deadline Extended Until August 31, 2012

Diamond Bar, CA, August 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA) Scholarship Award recognizes one Professional Journalist and one Emerging Writer every year, with awards by the same names. This year’s deadline for entries has been extended to August 31, 2012. These awards are for non-IFWTWA members only. Visit the IFWTWA website for eligibility criteria and entry guidelines.

Awards include a one-year IFWTWA membership with all member benefits, publication of the winning entries in Global Writes, and promotion of the winners in press releases, blog entries and social media. In addition, the winning Professional Journalist will be invited to attend the IFWTWA Annual Conference in Hawaii as IFWTWA’s guest (air excluded); the Emerging Writer winner wins a cash award.

According to IFWTWA President Maralyn Hill, "The IFWTWA Scholarship Award enables the organization to seek out exceptional talent in the food, wine and travel writing fields and enhance two writers' professional development each year with the excellent benefits of IFWTWA membership as well as the awards."
