“Now in my opinion there are several different grades of stupid. My stupidity scale goes from 'mildly stupid' on up to 'too stupid to breathe.' I was tired, it had been a long night, and I was sitting low behind the steering wheel. The four black guys in the big old Cadillac that stopped beside my car at the intersection could not see my police uniform. Apparently they were far too stupid to realize that a white guy driving a plain blue Dodge at 1:30 in the morning might just be a cop. As we all waited for the traffic light to turn green the two guys on the passenger side of the Cadillac leaned out of their car windows with their arms hanging down. Each one’s hand held a can of malt liquor just dangling them threateningly and I had to grin to myself. Then they made a really stupid mistake…”
