"We are glad for such a big investment brought to Tses. This is certainly a dream come true for the Tses community in terms of uplifting and boosting the Tses socio-economic development and our living standards. Through this development, Tses will definitely expand and be upgraded to Town status as this project will attract more investors to Tses, the smile of Karas Region. The current town planning will thus be redesigned due to the expected impact of the influx it will have on the Village. And we rally behind this project and support it and are very much positive that it will change the livelihood of our people for the better in the South and at large, the whole Namibia. Tses will rapidly become an industrialized town to achieve the aims and objectives of Namibia Vision 2030," exclaim Mr. Ivan Vries (CEO of Tses Village Council) and Mr. Karl Eiseb (VDC-Member) from Tses Village Council.

The construction of the Tses Glass Manufacturing plant is expected to begin in May 2013 and is expected to produce glass products with international quality standards for the markets around the world, specifically Africa, US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. "As leader assigned to this region I am very happy to hear this good news for putting up such a big glass project in the South, firstly as per our vision 2030 this is a move in the right direction at the right time as the project will not benefit Tses and Karas Region but Namibia entirely therefore our investors are more than welcome to move this great vehicle for the interest of our nation," States Hon Willem Isaacks, MP, Deputy Minister, Namibia Ministry of Mines & Energy.

"Tses and the entire southern Namibia area are plentifully endowed with awesome raw materials for producing great glass products possibly for the next 150+ years. Hence our Tses Glass products will be made with highly selected ingredients such as the silica sand has low iron content for a production of clear glass with less green and higher light transmission to improve visual aesthetic to exceed the international market’s expectation," explains Simon Kapenda, Tses Glass Project Manager and CEO of Groot Group.
