Jackson Walker Welcomes Nicole Brennig
Jackson Walker is pleased to welcome new attorney Nicole Brennig to the firm. Ms. Brennig joins the Corporate & Securities group in Austin.
Dallas, TX, August 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Ms. Brennig’s practice focuses on representing institutional investors and private equity funds on a broad range of issues including fund formations, secondary transactions and portfolio investments. She routinely represents some of the most active institutional and fund-of-fund investors when investing in venture capital, buyout and other private investment funds, as well as co-investment transactions. She also represents institutional investors in connection with the acquisition and sale of partnership interests on the secondary market. In addition, Ms. Brennig represents private equity funds in all stages of fund formation and fund sponsor representation; this includes counseling on terms and marketing strategy, preparing offering documents, negotiating with placement agents, drafting partnership and general partner documents, negotiating with investors, and providing advice on internal general partner and management company issues.
Ms. Brennig has been an active member of the private investment funds industry for many years. Prior to joining Jackson Walker, she practiced at Proskauer Rose LLP in Boston where she represented various institutional investors and sponsors of private equity funds in fundraising, portfolio investments, co-investment transactions and secondary market transactions, as well as regulatory, compliance and governance matters.
Ms. Brennig received her B.A., with distinction, from Concordia University and her J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif. She graduated in the top 10 percent of her class, was on the Dean’s list, received the Dean’s scholarship, and was a member of the SMU Law Review. Ms. Brenning was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 2004; her application in Texas is pending.
