Durham, NC, August 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Old Chatham Golf Club (http://www.oldchathamgolf.org), a Triangle-based golf club, has announced that renowned PGA Tour teaching professional, Patrick Kelley, is making the move from teaching full time on the PGA Tour to having his players come to him at Old Chatham. Kelley will offer golf lessons to members and guests on the expansive practice facilities and playing lessons on the course. Kelley’s lessons cover swing mechanics, short game technique, mental preparation and other aspects of the game. He is recognized as one of the foremost putting instructors in the game today.
Kelley teaches clients of all ages and skill levels, including beginners as young as eight years old, American Junior Golf Association members and PGA Tour players. He has taught several professional clients, including David Mathis, Brad Fritsch, Michael Putnam, Andrew Putnam and Justin Walters, who have won a combined eight PGA tours. Kelley’s sessions typically last one hour but can be adjusted to fit a student’s individual needs. He has instructed PGA Tour players for up to four hours at a time.
After starting his career as a junior player, he spent a few years on tour before switching to golf instruction, and soon had an A-List of clients. Today he has more than 100 full-time clients.
A native of Seattle and Palm Springs, Calif., Kelley currently resides in Fuquay-Varina, N.C. with his wife, Melissa, and their two daughters, Aubrey Lynn and Reagan Jane. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in economics and philosophy.
