New Directors of Business Development Will Grow Sciessent’s Textile Business
Wakefield, MA, August 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Sciessent, makers of Agion Active and Agion Lava, antimicrobial and anti-odor solutions for consumer, industrial and healthcare textile markets today announced the addition of two new executive hires to support national growth in the company’s textile division. Yanira Bugarin and Meg McComb have joined Sciessent as the directors of business development, textiles. In their new roles, Ms. Bugarin and Ms. McComb will concentrate on bringing the next generation of Agion branded antimicrobials and odor management textile technologies to market by forging partnerships with leading brands and retailers.
Ms. Bugarin brings over 20 years of experience in the garment industry in global marketing, sales, product development and buying for the apparel and home markets. At Sciessent, Ms. Bugarin’s primary focus will be growing the Agion brands in new categories and in home, outdoor upholstery and apparel markets. Prior to Sciessent, she has landed new business, procured savings and increased revenues, at Nano-Tex Inc., a nanotechnology chemical company, where she served as the vice president of business development, and at Cotton Inc., as manager, cotton solutions.
Ms. McComb brings to Sciessent 27 years of experience in textile development and sales in the apparel, outdoor, and activewear industries. Ms. McComb has worked directly with leading brands to support new product design, from performance technology inception, to the commercialization process. At Sciessent, Ms. McComb will focus on growing Sciessent’s business in the consumer apparel and activewear markets. Prior to beginning her career at Sciessent, Ms. McComb was the vice president of business development at Nano-Tex, and spent a 21 year tenure as the senior account manager at Milliken & Co, where she worked with major brands and retailers.
