Services Designed to Unlock Process Improvement in Software Testing and Development
Oxford, United Kingdom, August 18, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Grid-Tools, the leading test data management vendor, have developed a suite of professional services designed to solve many of the problems encountered in testing and development environments.
“Over the last twenty years, we have seen the same issues arise time and time again,” explains Huw Price, Managing Director of Grid-Tools, “and so we have launched a number of services specifically designed to address these problems and allow clients to align strategy, create scalability and foster agility.”
The new professional services arm at Grid-Tools is led by consultants with unrivalled experience in their field, including Huw Price who, over the last 30 years, has been the lead technical architect for several US and European software companies and was voted "IT Director of the Year" by QA Guild on 2010. Price has frequently presented at conferences around the world and his work has been published in several industry magazines. In addition, he has also offered strategic advice to a number of large corporations, including Deutsche Bank and Capgemini.
Leading the Agile services division, Ray Scott has over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry, including 15 years as a project development lead, which included acting as a Senior Quality Manager for one of the world’s largest Agile development programmes. Ray is also a certified SCRUM Master and Practitioner, as well as a recognised Test Methodologist.
Each of the services offered by Grid-Tools is designed to tackle the different issues that arise during testing, as IT systems become ever larger and more complex. With Data Analysis, for example, Grid-Tools can perform a comprehensive analysis and review of data models, highlighting any issues preventing teams from accessing the high quality data vital to the success of a project. Through their Strategy Audit and Alignment offering, Grid-Tools’ consultants will assist clients to develop and adopt a test data management strategy that maximizes the efficiency, value and quality of their development lifecycle. Existing strategies are evaluated against project and customer requirements and routes to best practice will be established to ensure that teams receive high quality, "fit for purpose" data when and where it is needed.
Yet, to achieve the right outcome, organizations find that innovation has to extend beyond processes and that a change in culture and mindset may also be required. Agile is perhaps the fastest growing set of adaptive practices in the industry today and GT Agile, the consultancy division of Grid-Tools, has a track record of successfully introducing the changes necessary to transition away from traditional "waterfall" practices and towards Agile principles.
Along with services that address integration with third party tools, such as HP ALM Quality Center 10 (and higher), HP QTP or Bender RBT , the Grid-Tools range of services ensures that companies can now easily access the expertise that will help them to develop test data management strategies that fuse efficiency, value and quality into project development.
