Shuman Dodge Fundraiser Raises $5,000 for Local High School

Walled Lake, MI, August 18, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Shuman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, a proud participant of Dodge’s Booster Club Fundraiser program, helped raise $5,000 for Walled Lake Western High School’s football booster club on August 11, 2012.

The Dodge Booster Club Fundraiser is an opportunity for schools to earn money for enrichment programs and extracurricular activities by bringing local Dodge dealers to schools in their communities. Event participants earn $20.00 to support an extracurricular program at the school by test driving a new Dodge vehicle. All licensed drivers over the age of 18 are eligible to participate.

Shuman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has participated in the Booster Club Fundraiser program for over ten years and has held events at elementary, middle, and high schools in the Walled Lake School District. The fundraiser at Walled Lake Western High School had 263 test drives. The dealership will also be holding Dodge Booster Club Fundraisers at Walled Lake Central High School on August 16, 2012 and next week at Walled Lake Northern High School.

Dodge fundraisers can help reduce the need for parents to pay for equipment, uniforms, and travel expenses for student activities. The events also give drivers a chance to look at the latest Dodge models and talk about cars with knowledgeable representative from Dodge. Participants are not required to buy anything and students do not sell anything. The whole community can participate and Dodge makes a direct cash contribution to the school.

Shuman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram also recently donated towards Special Olympics – Michigan and Sarah Banks Middle School Volleyball camp. The dealership’s contribution was used for medals and awards for the tournament held on the last day of the camp.
