Fort Myers Attorney John Miller Honored with Young Lawyer of the Year Award

Dixon Young Lawyer of the Year Award. The award is given annually to a young lawyer who exceeds the standards of excellence, dedication and commitment to the FDLA and its goals.
Miller is an associate in the firm’s Tort & Insurance Litigation division. He focuses his practice in municipal and governmental liability defense and professional negligence defense. Miller also speaks and writes frequently before public and private associations on matters of social media and technology in litigation. He currently serves as co-chair of the Social Networking Committee of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Treasurer of the Young Lawyers Division of the Lee County Bar Association and is a member of the Defense Research Institute. Miller also serves on the Child Care Center of Southwest Florida Board of Directors. Before becoming a lawyer, he started his career a math teacher for Fort Myers High School.
Miller received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida (2004) and his law degree from Stetson University College of Law, cum laude (2008).
