Walpole, MA, August 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Water is our planet's most valuable resource and a topic of great concern as businesses, cities, and countries around the world contemplate the global water crisis. To educate and empower students and adults to be champions for water in their schools, communities and workplace, GEF Institute has launched its latest online course, Water and Sustainability. This course is also a component of the Institute’s online certificate program, Sustainability Specialist in Water. In celebration of the launch of the course, the Institute is offering a 10 percent discount on the online course or the certificate program by using the coupon code ‘water.’

Approximately 3.5 hours long, and completely self-paced, the online course examines key topics such as water science, aquatic ecosystems, water pollution, human water systems, the global water crisis, water footprints, and sustainable water technology. Consistent with all GEF Institute online courses, the content includes rich images and graphs, video narrations, pre and post assessments, quizzes, and activities.
