Newport, KY, August 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Kentucky Man to Attempt Exciting Juggling World Record
Erik Kloeker of the world-renowned Pickled Brothers Circus to attempt to break the world record for juggling 3 axes on Newport’s Riverfront.
The record attempt will take place at Newport on the Levee at 1 Levee Way in Newport, KY, with Cincinnati, Ohio’s skyline as a backdrop on August 30th 2012 at 7:30 PM, and will kick-off the Pickled Brothers’ performances at the Old West Festival in Williamsburg, Ohio.
Kloeker, 22, has been juggling since age 13 and has been performing with the circus since age 14. Kloeker is no stranger to breaking world records; in 2007 he smashed the world record for juggling upside-down, a feat that took him around the globe when he was asked to perform on the Guinness World Records’ television shows in Milan, Italy and Beijing, China. Successfully beating records in each country gave Kloeker the unique distinction of becoming a record-breaker on three continents and earned him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2011 and 2012.
In order to break the record Kloeker will have to beat the existing record held by Aaron Gregg of Canada who managed 39 throws and catches without dropping. Kloeker will use full size, unaltered, sharp axes for the record attempt which will be witnessed by former Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey clown, and current owner of Circus Mojo, a youth learning circus in Ludlow, KY (circusmojo.com), Paul Miller, Old West Festival owner Drew Deimling and Campbell County Property Valuation Administrator Daniel Braun.
Travis Fessler, Co-Owner of the Pickled Brothers Circus had this to say, “Erik has been practicing very hard to break this record. I just hope the record is all he breaks, our insurance is already through the roof!”
The Old West Festival is a permanent old west town in Williamsburg, OH. It will be open Saturdays and Sundays from September 8th through October 7th. Along with the Pickled Brothers Circus, daily entertainment will include gunfights, horse shows, medicine shows, magic, music, food, horse and train rides, and much, much more. Erik Kloeker is a world champion juggler, as well as an accomplished fire-eater, and sword swallower. Kloeker has been performing professionally at venues nationwide as well as around the globe since 2004.
