Creta Maris Green Team Takes Action to Protect the Environment: Hersonissos Beach Clean-Up

Hersonissos, Crete, Greece, August 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The clean up started from the hotel to the church of St. Paraskevi. A high volume of guests and employees participated in this event encouraging our efforts for the preservation of the environment.

It is remarkable that Green Team has already done many activities starting from cleaning the beach of Hersonissos on May 16th 2012, the celebration of International Biodiversity Day on May 22nd 2012, the celebration of World Environmental Day on June 5th 2012, the celebration of World Oceans Day on June 8th 2012, the information of guests concerning recycling on June 16th 2012 and finally the street cleaning and weeding of the green area on July 12th.

Creta Maris Green Team, strives to spread environmental awareness and encourage the residents of Crete to contribute all they can to maintain a clean environment.

The Green Team’s mission is to support the Region of Crete, the Region of Heraklion and Heraklion Regional Municipalities by contributing towards activities related to environmental protection, such as cleaning public areas, beaches, planting trees etc.
