J. Walcher Communications Announces Five New Clients, Projects
San Diego, CA, August 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- J. Walcher Communications (JWC), a San Diego-based public relations agency, has announced the addition of five new clients and projects:
The San Diego Childhood Obesity Initiative: The agency will oversee community relations for 5210, an evidence-based messaging campaign that focuses on healthy behaviors related to nutrition and physical activity. The campaign’s recommendations for daily food and activity: (5) five or more fruits and vegetables, (2) two hours or less of recreational screen time, (1) one hour or more of physical activity and (0) zero sugary drinks. The initial campaign will focus on the community of Western Chula Vista with eventual expansion countywide.
Zephyr Partners: a San Diego-based real estate development and investment company, the agency will work to promote the company and its new home, apartments and townhome communities, which include: La Mesa del Sol in La Mesa, Paseo La Jolla and Panorama Ridge II in Oceanside.
Lung Cancer Alliance’s San Diego Breath of Hope Lung Cancer Walk: JWC welcomes back the San Diego Breath of Hope Lung Cancer Walk, an annual event to raise awareness and funds to fight the nation’s leading cause of cancer deaths. This year’s walk takes place at Cancer Survivors Park on Spanish Landing on April 22.
The International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE): An international association of systems engineers, JWC will work to increase membership, establish credibility and knowledge of the systems engineering profession. “Engineers design the space ship, system engineers figure out how it’s going to get to space,” says JWC president, Jean Walcher. “We have extensive experience in working with associations, including the United States Parachute Association and the California Athletic Trainers’ Association; it’s interesting and challenging work.”
Williams/Dame & Associates/American Life Inc.: For a partnership of the two Pacific Northwest-based real estate development companies, JWC created, produced and publicized a launch event for the dual construction of two Marriott hotels located adjacent to L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. The event featured Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Bill Marriott, incoming Marriott CEO Arne Sorenson, Councilmember Jan Perry and AEG president Tim Leiweke. The event took place on March 28.
