Davie, FL, August 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Flamingo Road Farmers Market names new Manager, Joe Pellegrino to lead operations for its Produce Market, Delicatessen, Creamery and Sweet Shop.
Mr. Pellegrino brings more than 30 years of experience in the produce industry that includes management, sales and customer service to his new post.
Mr. Pellegrino began his new position in August in anticipation of the continued growth and expansion of the market which currently features locally grown produce, Boar’s Head Deli, Prepared and Gourmet Foods, Artisan Breads and Cheeses, Juice Bar, Creamery and Sweet Shop. Future plans include additional indoor dining space, catering and special events, and a new line of homemade Italian specialties.
Most recently Mr. Pellegrino owned and operated Pellegrino’s Farm Stand and Italian Deli in Pompano Beach, Florida and previously held numerous industry management positions in Boston’s famous North End and Haymarket Square.
Flamingo Farmers Market, open seven days a week, features Locally Grown Produce, Boar’s Head Delicatessen, Prepared and Gourmet Foods, Italian Specialties, Artisan Breads and Cheeses, Juice Bar, Creamery and Sweet Shop. Flamingo Road Honey Farm produces local honey available for purchase in the Farmers Market, where visitors can actually “see the bees” making honey, while talking firsthand to Nick-the-Beekeeper and receive a free tasting all day, every day.
