Davie, FL, August 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Flamingo Road Nursery and Farmers Market’s family-friendly event kicks-off Saturday, September 29 with Pepperpalooza! featuring 30-40 varieties of Pepper Plants, Hot Pepper Eating Contest, Hot Sauce Tasting, Gardening Demonstrations and Workshops, South Florida Food Truck Invasion, Live Music by The School of Rock – West Broward and much more.

Shoppers can browse and select pumpkins from the largest Pumpkin Patch in South Florida, while children enjoy the Paint-A-Pumpkin Activity Area. The festival will also include ongoing events every weekend including Horse-drawn Hayrides and Face Painting for the kids and several free Garden Talks for adults focusing on topics ranging from Organic Gardening, Edible Landscaping and Growing Your Own Herbs to Fruit and Citrus Trees, Butterfly Gardening and Growing Orchids. There will also be Make-it and Take-it Mixed Container and Herb Dish Garden Classes offered for $30. Boxed Lunch Picnics, Smoothies, Ice Cream, Juice Bar and featured seasonal delights such as Candied Apples, Cider and Roasted Corn will be available from the Farmers Market throughout the event.
