Leading Loan Provider 1-800LoanMart Gets Involved in Charity for Kids
1800-LoanMart Has Made Its Presence Felt in California, Supporting a Local Charity by Helping Fundraise to Provide Backpacks and Supplies for Kids Going Back to School
Encino, CA, August 23, 2012 --(PR.com)-- California’s leading non-traditional loan provider goes above and beyond to support its local community. 1-800LoanMart has gotten very involved with FriendsandHelpers.org, raising over $3,500 from employees with an exciting internal fundraiser. The funds supported the charity’s Back to School program for the coming fall.
LoanMart has been providing loans to consumers that banks won’t help since 2001. Through its 1800LoanMart phone number and 800LoanMart.com website, it has helped thousands of individuals to reach their goals and overcome financial hurdles over the past 11 years. In the process, the people who run LoanMart have developed a vested interest in the needs of the local Southern California community.
Along with supporting a handful of other important causes, LoanMart has been involved with FriendsandHelpers.org for over a year. Friends and Helpers is a non-profit organization that supports Southern California women, children and teens who are suffering from domestic violence. They provide the material and emotional support that people need when fleeing violent situations and trying to get back on their feet.
LoanMart recently completed an internal fundraiser to sponsor Friends and Helpers’ “Back-to-School” backpacks drive. The money raised will help supply nearly 150 children with backpacks filled with supplies they will need for the coming school year. LoanMart installed a digital photo booth in one of its offices and invited employees to take fun, funny pictures to upload online and share with friends. At just $3 a person, the both raised $3,500. This achievement is a testament to how much the employees at LoanMart care about supporting children, freedom from abuse, and education in Southern California.
Last year, LoanMart also helped Friends and Helpers with their Christmas fundraiser, and were heavily involved in the Autism Speaks walk at the Rose Bowl on April 12, 2012. LoanMart employees sincerely enjoy these activities and are proud of their contributions to causes that are so important. They certainly have plans to help support future campaigns by FriendsandHelpers.org, and you can too.
