Morris, IL, August 25, 2012 --(PR.com)-- RE/MAX Top Properties is marking the grand opening of its new office at 101 Waverly St. in Morris, Ill., with a celebration that will run from 1 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 26. The event is open to the public and will feature refreshments and a raffle. The famous RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will also be tethered on site, weather permitting.
RE/MAX Top Properties, which has been serving the Morris area for six years, moved to its new location June 8. It has 14 agents working in the 2,300-square-foot space. The office location at Waverly Street and Ill. Hwy. 47 should be familiar to Morris residents as it is at one of the busiest and most visible intersections in the community.
Co-Broker/Owner Tana Nordaker is excited about the new office and its potential impact.
“We did a major rehab of the building, using all local contractors, to create an updated, open working area for our agents. We are now located in the heart of town, a location that will help us deliver top representation to all our clients.”
According to Vicki Geiger, managing broker of the office, as well as one of its owners, the time was right to purchase new office space.
“We took our own advice. We are telling people that now is a great time to buy, and we decided we should do just that,” Geiger said. “There are still phenomenal interest rates out there, so our mortgage payment is similar to the rent we paid at our former office. Now we have more space, a better location and a renovated facility.”
Geiger and Nordaker both look forward to introducing the Morris community to their new office and to helping meet the needs of local buyers and sellers in a real estate market that is now in recovery mode.
“Here in Grundy County, we were fortunate. Our home values did decline but not nearly as much as in many other areas,” Geiger said. “People are starting to realize that while they might have to sell their home for less than they might have gotten a few years ago, they can also buy their new home for less. Plus, with the historically low mortgage interest rates out there, homes are exceptionally affordable.”
