New Photo Book Fundraiser for the Horse Shelter in Santa Fe

Santa Fe, NM, August 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Fine art photographer Craig Varjabedian and the University of New Mexico Press are pleased to announce a very special event to benefit The Horse Shelter in Santa Fe, a sanctuary devoted to caring for New Mexico’s abused, abandoned and neglected horses. Mr Varjabedian's new book Landscape Dreams, A New Mexico Portrait will officially be available on October 1, 2012. Before world-wide release of the book, Mr. Varjabedian and the University of New Mexico Press are offering four autographed pre-release copies of the book to horse lovers who provide a donation of $250 or more to the Horse Shelter in Santa Fe.

“Horses are simply amazing and beautiful animals. Some people say they don’t feel affection for their owners, but I disagree. I see love, respect, familiarity, trust—all those emotions mutually between a horse and a man,” wrote Mr. Varjabedian in his book Four and Twenty Photographs: Stories from Behind the Lens.

Please help the horses at the Horse Shelter in Santa Fe that are in need food, veterinary care and other supplies. Be one of the first people to receive this new beautiful presentation of Craig Varjabedian's photographs made over the nearly three decades that he has lived and worked in New Mexico. The images range over all the image-making forms—landscape, portrait, and still life—to offer a remarkably complete, varied, and original portrait of the “Land of Enchantment.” The book contains 90 eloquent photographs in a hardcover coffee table book and include three essays by New Mexico writers whose intimacy with and affection for the land are no less deep than the photographer’s.
