North Carolina Education Ball to be Featured on ABC11
Thirty minute special to highlight work of CISNC
Raleigh, NC, June 30, 2007 --(PR.com)-- ABC11 will feature a special half-hour program this Saturday highlighting the work of Communities In Schools of NC (CISNC) and the 2007 NC Education Ball. The special, which will feature portions taped during the fundraising event on June 16, will air at 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 30 with a special encore presentation at 11:00 am on Sunday, July 1. ABC11 is the official Media Sponsor of the North Carolina Education Ball which is attended by business, education and political leaders from across the state.
Featured in the special will be interviews with the president of CISNC, Linda Harrill, as well as other business leaders from across the state. The special will also highlight profiles of some of the successful Communities In Schools programs that are underway in North Carolina communities. In addition, recipients of the H. Glenn Williams Power of One Awards will be featured, including: Donald Gray of Kannapolis, Duplin County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority of Warsaw, Glen Love of Hayesville, and Michael Olander of Raleigh.

This 2007 NC Education Ball was presented by GlaxoSmithKline and held at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh. The purpose of the event was to celebrate educational advancements in North Carolina communities as well as the individuals who diligently work to improve the educational experience for students across the state.
