DrupalCon Munich 2012: QArea Developers' Impressions
Kharkov, Ukraine, August 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- DrupalCon Munich 2012 was on August 20 – 24 at The Westin Grand München. QArea’s Drupal web developers attended in this conference.
The event consisted of one single day of pre-conference trainings on Drupal topics, three days of different Drupal sessions, BoFs and keynotes, and also a day of contribution sprints. The Drupal community members were welcome to learn specific aspects about Drupal deeply, share their knowledge and explore precious experience and best of the Drupal practices.
DrupalCon Munich offered such kind of trainings on August, 20. They are going to talk mainly about pre-conference trainings, because QArea developers participated in one of them. The trainings were organized for those people who wanted to gain additional experience in topical knowledge for a great number of subjects and share their experience with others.
QArea Drupal developers took part in Security: Process, Code & Hands-on Training course. The training began with some review of the common vulnerabilities of Drupal sites. The experienced trainers focused not only on the theory of Drupal security, but also on the ways of solving particular problems.
It is designed for beginners, as well as for intermediate and season pro users of Drupal and offers a unique experience for all of these groups of users. The wide range of topics that were presented at this training are listed below:
Cross Site Request Forgeries;
Insecure configurations;
Cross Site Scripting;
Access bypass, the menu system, and permissions;
SQL Injection and the database API.
The day of training ended with a practical site review where members had time and opportunity to review a Drupal-made site identifying and fixing issues.
