US Homeland Security Foundation of America Partners with the HALO Corporation and Fedhealth for Ready Roadmap USA and the HALO Counter-Terrorism Summit
HSFA to kickoff Ready Roadmap San Diego from Paradise Point Island, October 29, 2012, to deliver life-saving public safety information and resources to thousands of HALO Counter-Terrorism Summit attendees and single-family households in San Diego County, California.
San Diego, CA, August 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Today, Homeland Security Foundation of America (HSFA) officials announced a new partnership with the HALO Corporation for HSFA’s Ready Roadmap and the HALO Counter-Terrorism Summit scheduled to begin in late October.
Ready Roadmap USA, formerly the Campaign for Child Safety and Protection, is a grassroots initiative to raise awareness about emergency preparedness and equip families with the information and resources needed to defend against disasters, terrorist attacks and routine crime. HSFA has held Ready Roadmap events across the nation and will be bringing the program to San Diego, California October 29 through November 3, 2012 during the HALO Counter-Terrorism Summit. As a part of the partnership agreement between HSFA and the HALO Corporation, HALO donated more than $30,000 to support Ready Roadmap as a principal sponsor.
“Generous donations like what we’ve received from the HALO Corp and Fedhealth help make it possible for us to save lives, and we want to partner with other companies and organizations on an ongoing basis,” said Eric Brown, President of HSFA. “We’ll conduct our annual meeting of the board October 29 during the HALO Counter-Terrorism Summit at Paradise Point and launch Ready Roadmap the next day. Our staff and volunteers will be there on the ground in San Diego County until November 3rd, delivering life-saving disaster preparedness resources and information to more than 5000 families in congressional districts 49 through 53."
Brown went on to say that the HALO Summit presents a rare opportunity for learning and collaborations and is in line with the organization’s mission as it allows HSFA to maximize its outreach efforts across a wide spectrum of organizations, corporations, public safety departments and national defense agencies.
The HALO Counter-Terrorism Summit is a five-day, multi-track training environment slated to host more than 1,000 homeland security stakeholders from government agencies, elite military special operations units, and the law enforcement officers, first responder and intelligence communities. Summit keynote speakers will include Former CIA and NSA Director General Michael Hayden (Ret.), LAPD Deputy Chief and Commanding Officer of the Counter-Terrorism and Special Operations Bureau Michael Downing, and Dr. Alejandro Poiré Romero, Secretary of the Interior, Mexico.
“We are very pleased to support the Homeland Security Foundation of America as they bring their Ready Roadmap campaign to San Diego,” said Brad Barker, president, The HALO Corporation. “Their initiative to inform the public about emergency preparedness aligns well with the HALO Counter-Terrorism Summit. We’ll be providing groundbreaking homeland security training to the military personnel, government agencies, law enforcement officers and first responders responsible for protecting our country at home and abroad.”
