Nicolò Orsi Battaglini Exposes Interiors at Agora Gallery

Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Italian artist, Nicolò Orsi Battaglini in In Reverie of Form.

New York, NY, August 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Domestic interiors, castles, cathedrals, antiquated artworks and mystical caverns spring to life in Nicolò Orsi Battaglini’s digital prints on Hahnemuhle cotton paper. Available in small limited editions, these timeless photographic impressions capture the ornate curvature, unwieldy arches and otherwise rustic topography of Florence, the artist’s home and inspiration, which is also known as the living ‘Cradle of the Renaissance.’ With the raw appeal of watercolor or charcoal drawing, Battaglini’s digital compositions are rendered in richly saturated hues and fuse the textural quality of the handmade with the limitless potential of digital enhancement. A comprehensive slice of neo-classical rapture born of contemporary Italian imagistic impulses, these captured visions offer a new hallmark in the digital media zeitgeist.

Nicolò Orsi Battaglini was born in Florence, where he still lives and works. He has worked professionally in fashion, advertising and publishing, and since 2008 he has also exhibited as a fine artist throughout Florence, Rome and Pistoia.
