Medical Development Group & Lahey Clinic Announce September 19th Forum: “Clinical World is the Critical Partner for New Products and Technology”

Waltham, MA, August 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Medical Development Group and Lahey Clinic announce a jointly sponsored Forum on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 entitled “Clinical World Is the Critical Partner for New Products and Technology,” focused on examples of recent cooperative relationships between the Department of Urology, with support from Radiology, and local medical device companies. These examples illustrate how collaboration between local device companies and Lahey benefit both by expediting research, sparing companies the capital costs of setting up their own labs, while simultaneously giving industry access to the clinical expertise required for the entire process of device development, from feasibility through FDA approval.

Moderator: Peter N. Madras, MD had a 30 year career as a transplant and vascular surgeon and associate professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School before joining Lahey Clinic eight years ago. He is currently serving on committees for the US Medical Licensing Examinations.

Urology Presenters: John A. Libertino, MD, Chairman of the Department of Urology at Lahey Clinic, and Professor of Surgery at Tufts University Medical School: “Principles Underlying Successful Industrial-Clinical Relationships.”
