Ares to Upgrade Oracle GV System for Agilent Technologies

Taipei, Taiwan, August 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Ares International Corp. recently signed a contract with Agilent Technologies, a famous measurement company based in the US, to assist the latter to finish upgrade of its Oracle ERP R12 GUI/VAT (GV) system in half a year.

Agilent has worked with Ares in introducing GV and maintaining the system, the company said, adding that it is very satisfied with the related services and quality of the project, which led to the further cooperation in upgrading its GV system from R11i version to R12.

Taiwan is one of the global structures of Agilent while its ERP server and IT staff are located in overseas regions with remote connection service offered for all users, Agilent noted. Agilent’s GV data input staff is located in other regions while Taiwan is responsible for local financial management information and application of local business tax. As such, the company expects full reliability of related systems and consistency of operations both before and after the upgrade. That is, data transfer should be without any loss or omission. In addition, the new system should meet the upgrade operational method of the ERP system of its headquarter and the requirements of the business tax law of Taiwan.

Ares GV not only offers functions for existing version, but provides new functions or amendments for new versions or requirements of related tax laws in Taiwan. As a result, Agilent can smoothly transfer its data while meeting requirements of related laws.

Agilent primarily offers applications for electronic measurement, chemical analysis and life science. The headquarters of Agilent’s Taiwan operations is in Taipei and it also has two branches in northern and southern Taiwan.
