Cheer Channel's Hit Web-Series, Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader Reaches 600,000 Views

Austin, TX, August 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Cheer Channel Inc.’s original scripted drama “Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader” hit a milestone mark this week, breaking into 600,000 total views on the Secret Diary YouTube channel. Episode 1 – “A Girl’s Gotta Cheer” aired on May 28 and had nearly 20,000 views in the first 3 days. Five more episodes followed weekly as viewership continued to grow. The sixth and final episode of Season 1 aired on July 2, and had broken through to 400,000 views.

“As the first ever original scripted programming targeted to cheerleaders, nobody one could have predicted the tremendous success we had both in viewership and advertiser support,” said Lance H. Robbins, Executive Producer and President of CCI. Aside from the viewership milestone, Secret Diary increased its fan base to more than 200,000 fans and followers on its social media sites.

With Season 2 of the web series in development and a slate of additional reality and scripted programming scheduled to roll out over this coming cheer season, Cheer Channel has high expectations for increasing its dominance across all platforms. This is attributed to CCI’s recent distribution deals with FilmON, and SimplyMe for television broadcast.
