Hunter Discovers He’s Become the Hunted in Chaos Published by Outskirts Press

John Austin Sletten’s newest mystery thriller trails a former FBI special agent as he discovers an underground world of government black ops while seeking the truth about his wife’s mysterious death.

Philadelphia, PA, August 31, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Veteran novelist John Austin Sletten announced today the release of Chaos, published by Outskirts Press. The second work in Sletten’s mystery thriller trilogy, Chaos follows Deceit as an eccentric hero, struggling to be a competent single parent, discovers he is no longer the hunter, but has become the hunted in a world about to suddenly turn upside down.

While seeking the truth about the mysterious death of his wife, a former FBI special agent suddenly finds he is in the middle of an underground world of government black operations which is delving into the country’s top secrets about aliens and alien nations. The further he pulls strings, the more he realizes that a continual misappropriation of funds has been used to build this underground world that will eventually be a home for a select group of individuals during a certain future nuclear holocaust.

The leader of this new universal government, Paul Gordon Charles, becomes pitted head to head with Chaos’ protagonist in the tiny hamlet of Wallace, Utah, the chosen center of Charles’ newly created universe. The unimaginable scenario of events that is now being planned will turn the world upside down, and the man who was originally the hunter for truth must now fear for his own life as he is tracked down and hunted himself as mere prey.

Chaos is the second book of Sletten’s trilogy, following Deceit, and Atonement will be its final installment. The author has also completed three other novels that are awaiting publication: Along the James, a Historical Civil War Novel, The Keeper and Uncommon Knowledge.
