Town of Sahuarita, AZ Goes Live on Innoprise Citizen Access
Broomfield, CO, August 31, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Harris Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is pleased to announce that the Town of Sahuarita, AZ went live on Innoprise Citizen Access for Community Development on Monday, August 20, 2012.
As one of Arizona’s fastest-growing communities, the Town of Sahuarita is the newest jurisdiction in Pima County, incorporated in 1994. The Town of Sahuarita’s population has increased 662 percent during the period from the 2000 Census through July 2009. The population forecast for 2012 is 31,295.
Innoprise Citizen Access is their eGovernment enabling application. It is incorporated with all Innoprise Enterprise Resource Planning software and acts as a transparent bridge between the Internet and Innoprise applications. This module enables internal users and citizens to access Innoprise back office applications over the Web or through a self-service kiosks bringing a new level of eGovernment to the public sector.
“I am really pleased that the Town of Sahuarita and Innoprise were able to implement the online Citizen Access system,” said Sarah S. More, FAICP, Building and Planning Director for the Town. “It is one more step in our efforts to provide a higher level of service in our community as well as 24/7 access to our permit and zoning case statuses.”
CitizenAccess will equip Sahuarita with eGovernment capabilities that are fully integrated with the Innoprise Community Development module. Citizen Access will enable both Town employees and citizens to access Innoprise data over the Web or through self-service kiosks. Citizens will be able to research property information and view permit information.
Located in the historic Santa Cruz Valley, the Town of Sahuarita is surrounded by early Spanish missions, frontier outposts, and old mines. Currently 30 square miles, Sahuarita is just 15 minutes south of Tucson and approximately 40 minutes north of the Mexican border.
To the south of Sahuarita is Tubac, the oldest Spanish settlement in the southwest. Tubac is now home to an artist colony and a variety of craftsman. Sahuarita is also home to the Titan II Missile Museum; it is the only one of its kind in the world and hosts more than 50,000 visitors annually.
The Town is committed to ensuring that its residents are informed of, and involved in, town decisions and actions. A variety of tools are used, including a monthly electronic newsletter, social media and frequent public open houses. The Sahuarita Town Council adopted a Public Involvement Policy designed to encourage citizen involvement.
