Raleigh, NC, September 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In response to requests from service providers, GCFLearnFree.org recently created an online resource to assist educators in better utilizing the educational content found on the website.
The Educators’ Resource contains a variety of tools to benefit traditional educators and service providers alike. Teachers will be pleased to discover information about GCFLearnFree.org’s approach to instructional design is now available. Answers to Frequently Asked Questions and information regarding Terms of Use are offered in plain terms for service providers that may not have a formal background in education but are interested in helping others use GCFLearnFree.org.
The most requested aid from educators was for the creation of curriculum guides. The Educators’ Resource currently includes five guides: Technology, Microsoft Office, Reading, Everyday Life, and Office. These learning paths will help educators in making connections within the varied topics GCFLearnFree.org offers and provides ideas and suggestions for best practices, including how to create assessments and examples for the classroom. In the future, GCFLearnFree.org plans to provide additional guides to accompany each topic on the website.
“Creating the Educators’ Resource afforded us the opportunity to think about how our tutorials can work with one another to become a cohesive curriculum. By expanding the content’s use in this way, we hope to share our courses with learners in new ways and with learners we may not have reached before,” stated Matt Robinson, Director, GCFLearnFree.org.
