Superior Grocers to Participate in the Leimert Park Village Music Festival and to Donate $5,000 to Local Schools
Superior Grocers, one of Southern California’s largest independent supermarket chains, will participate in the upcoming 4th Annual Leimert Park Village African Art & Music Festival donate $5,000 to two local schools with the collaboration of Herb Wesson, Jr., Councilman for the City of Los Angeles’ 10th Council district.
Los Angeles, CA, August 31, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Superior Grocers, one of Southern California’s largest independent supermarket chains, will participate in the upcoming 4th Annual Leimert Park Village African Art & Music Festival where it will also give a donation to two local schools. As a pledge to the continuous support of education and local communities, Superior Grocers is collaborating with Herb Wesson, Jr., Councilman for the City of Los Angeles’ 10th Council district, to award $5,000 to two Los Angeles schools. The selected schools are Audubon Middle School and Baldwin Hills Elementary School and will receive a $2,500 grant each.
A check presentation with Councilman Herb Wesson Jr. and Superior Grocers’ executives will take place on Sunday, September 2, 2012, at 4:00pm at the event located at the Vision Theater Special Events lot on 4318 Degnan Blvd, in Los Angeles. The Leimert Park Music Festival, now in its 4th year, is an annual cultural event that brings communities with diverse cultures together to celebrate the arts, music and also helps promote health, education, arts and literacy programs.
