Award-Winning Director Todd Braley Guests on Eye on Entertainment
Braley’s Feature Film “China White” Was Co-written by Braley and Cassandra Bryson and Stars Jose Maysonet, Christian Stokes, Crawford M. Collins, Whitnie Mauney, Kennedy Moranta, Jason Torres and DH Lewis
Hollywood, CA, September 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- “Eye on Entertainment” has today announced that the show’s latest segment features an interview with prize winning director Todd E. Braley. Braley’s experience ranges over 25 years in all aspects of filmmaking, industrial videos, music videos, television commercials and pilot TV shows. He owns HD camera equipment, digital audio recording equipment and edits on Adobe CS5 software. According to ‘Eye’ producer and host, Dawna Lee Heising, who is set to play an exotic dancer named Jade in Braley’s next film, “Braley is a multi-talented filmmaker. He is an award-winning director and is also a producer, writer and editor who consistently goes after the unusual or uncomfortable projects that make him a Hollywood maverick.”
Braley, who hails from Bay City, Michigan, relates his early days when he dreamed of making films. He would lay on the ground, staring into the sky, “making movies in his head” simply because his family was unable to afford a movie camera. However, he explains that with his first Super 8, a gift from his grandmother, he shot his first feature, a James Bond spoof, “GoldToe.” When his family moved to the Southern California area, Braley won a scholarship to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Ca. His first “big” filmmaking project, he says, was a low budget film, “Dark Side of the Mind,” which was written with his best friend Tim Piantadosi. Subsequently, Todd was introduced to renowned Film Directing Teacher, Jim Pasternak, from whom he learned about “filmmaking & directing in just a few short weeks.” Braley currently lives in Colorado with his girlfriend Angie Maynard and daughters Brianne and Tayler.
Todd has over 600 local TV commercials to his credit, two feature length films, 14 short films, 150 news magazine shows and 105 episodes of a local cooking show. In March 2011, Todd's short film "Silence" was accepted at the New Hope Film Festival in New Hope, PA., and in 2012 Todd's short film "Me, A Rapist?" earned him a second Best Director and Best Actor at the Yuma Film Festival. Braley discusses his work on the remake of “Plan 9 from Outer Space,” a low-budget, Ed Wood film that gained cult status for being the “worst movie ever made.”
Braley is currently working on the feature film “China White”, a police action/drama from Infinity Film Productions. “China White” is about two DEA agents who are quietly hunted by a drug dealer after his brother is killed. The story was co-written by Cassandra Bryson and Braley, and the screenplay is from Bryson. China White will begin filming in New Jersey in October 2012. The film stars Jose Maysonet, Christian Stokes, Crawford M. Collins, Whitnie Mauney, Kennedy Moranta, Jason Torres and DH Lewis.
