Displays2Go Introduces Locking Desktop Kiosk for iPad
Businesses using tablets/iPads for in-store advertising and information see increased need for loss protection measures. New line of locking kiosks and stands reduce risk of loss.
Bristol, RI, September 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Displays2Go has introduced a new iPad stand designed for businesses to protect their investment when using iPads as advertising/information displays. Each unobtrusive steel kiosk comes with a secure lock to secure both tablet and stand to desktops or countertops.
“It’s really a double-edged sword,” says Sandra Reno, New Product Specialist at Displays2Go.com. “On one hand, the use of tablet-sized computers for in-store advertising and marketing purposes has grown tenfold in the last year alone. It’s such a versatile tool for putting information literally at the tips of consumers’ fingers. On the other hand, the issue of the tablets disappearing from the stores has grown as well. It’s a problem we didn’t see as much when flat-screens started being used for displays, but unfortunately it’s a lot easier to walk off with a tablet than it is a 42” LED panel. Customers needed a way to protect their advertising investments.”
The functional touch-screen pedestal holders are constructed of steel with a durable finish in either black or white. Designed specifically for 2nd or 3rd generation iPads, the stands offer easy rotation between landscape and portrait orientations as well as up to 90-degree screen tilt. A Kensington cable lock protects both tablet and pedestal, and the base can be bolted down for additional security.
“The stand itself blends nicely with the tablet, so it’s inconspicuous,” adds Reno. “It fully protects our customers’ property, without making a big deal of it. It’s just there doing its job and not getting in the way of their customers and clients using the tablets.”
