Burbank, CA, September 09, 2012 --(PR.com)-- “The Stooge,” a short film to be directed by Rogelio Fojo, has cast actor Pat Scott in the film’s title role. The screenplay for “The Stooge” was written by Christopher Priest (author of The Prestige). In an open letter, the award-winning author wrote:

“…one day I started thinking about the role of a stooge in magic. Who becomes a stooge? How does he or she get involved? What do they know about the tricks? What do they have to do to earn their money? And what becomes of them later ...?”

Pat Scott’s portrayal of a stooge will answer these questions addressed by Christopher Priest in a screenplay inspired by a continued interest in magic and illusions after The Prestige was made into a film.

Originally from Lansingburgh, New York, Pat Scott has been acting in the theater since he was 14. He trained at NYU’s Tisch school of the Arts at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting under reputable professors Jimmy Tripp, Ron Burrus and Angela Vitale. Near the end of his training, Pat shifted his focus to film at NYU’s Stonestreet film-intensive program, and later at Hollywood’s Art of Acting Studio.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2011, Pat has been a part of numerous short films and has worked with a wide spread of ‘underground’ filmmakers in NY and LA. His most notable parts have included Bill from “1969” at Theater Theater, Estragon from “Waiting for Godot” at Stella Adler, and Reg from “Round and Round the Garden.”
