Parks Legado Town Center Welcomes Whitehouse Meat Market

Odessa, TX, September 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Whitehouse Meat Market will join the great lineup of restaurants and retailers at Parks Legado Town Center in Odessa early next year. For 56 years, Whitehouse Meat Market has been a West Texas institution featuring fine cuts of beef, pork and chicken. Currently located on the northwest side of Odessa, Texas, the butcher shop not only prepares made to order cuts of meat, but the restaurant sells 200 to 300 hamburgers per day.

Whitehouse is owned by Clint Fletcher and his parents, Olan and Jane Maney. Mr. Fletcher's grandfather Eldon Maney opened the store in 1956 and started selling hamburgers in the early '80s at the request of friends. The Whitehouse menu includes cheeseburgers, jalapeño burgers, spicy fries and tater tots and customers can order full burger setups to go. Managers, Jason Munos and Daniel Ornelas stock the butcher shop with quality cuts of steak, a variety of sausages and all of the seasonings for backyard barbeques.

“We are very excited to open this second location at Parks Legado Town Center to more effectively serve our expanding customer base,” said Whitehouse owner Clint Fletcher. “This new location will have some unique differences from our north Odessa store, but will still serve the highest quality of smoked meats, fine cuts of beef, and of course our great hamburgers. Our customers will enjoy the convenience right on Highway 191, plus the comfortable atmosphere offered at Parks Legado.”

Whitehouse Meat Market and restaurant will join Cork and Pig Tavern, The Egg and I Restaurant, Press Cafe - Coffee and Wine Bar, Marble Slab Creamery, Joe James Salon and Day Spa, Nutrition Bunker and shops opening in Fall 2012 and Spring 2013. Phase 1 of Parks Legado Town Center totaling 27,000 square feet is 95 percent leased. Aim Bank and the 120-room Residence Inn by Marriott are currently under construction as well. Upon total completion, the 68-acre Parks Legado Town Center will include over 300,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, hotels, and the Sewell Family of new car dealerships.

“We couldn't more pleased than to bring Whitehouse Meat Market to Parks Legado Town Center,” said Collin Sewell, Parks Legado developer. “The Maney and Fletcher families have served West Texas with quality food and service for over 50 years. The depth of our tenant mix just keeps getting better, as we continue to pursue our goal of improving the quality of life here in West Texas."

The Parks Legado development team including Mr. Sewell and Dallas-based developer Epperson Company, has designed the town center with a focus on enduring quality with a hometown feel. Parks Legado will include Mediterranean architecture, tree lined sidewalks, and the Plaza Park to host community events and entertainment.

“Both Odessa and Midland will benefit from this new, convenient location for Whitehouse Meat Market," noted Don Epperson, President of Epperson Company. "With four restaurants already and a cigar and sports bar to be announced soon, Parks Legado Town Center will be the dining and entertainment destination for West Texans. We are currently pre-leasing Phase 2 and selling sites for more businesses at Parks Legado.”
