caseable Partners with e-Stewards

Brooklyn, NY, September 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- caseable is now part of “e-Stewards Enterprise” in hopes to spread awareness about the improper disposal of electronic waste.

caseable already manufactures from recycled materials and wants to take a step further by partnering with e-Stewards. caseable pledges to recycle electronic waste properly and help the initiative wherever possible. This includes educating the community and bringing awareness to the problem.

“At this pivotal moment in the worldwide e-waste crisis, caseable joins a growing number of business, academic and governmental leaders taking action to stem a toxic tide,” said Jim Puckett, Executive Director of the Basel Action Network, creator of the e-Stewards program.

e-Stewards is the leading environmental community tackling the problem of improper recycling practices with electronics. Electronic waste (e-waste) comes from disposing electronics unsafely which creates toxic materials that can destroy our environment. Together with e-Stewards, caseable will make its best efforts with e-Stewards Recyclers to ensure e-waste does not contribute to the global toxic waste crisis.

“We are thrilled to be part of e-Stewards. Here at caseable we try our best to be environmentally friendly wherever possible. For example, we manufacture and use recycled materials in all of our cases. e-Stewards is a great organization fighting for a very important cause - the awareness and elimination of wrongly recycled electronic waste. caseable wants to help support these efforts. Many of our customers purchase custom cases for their new devices. Often, they are unsure of how to discard their old electronics and eventually throw them away. Together with e-Stewards, we see a unique opportunity to educate our community and create awareness,” explained Marvin Amberg, co-founder of caseable.

Barbara Kyle, Executive Director of the Electronics TakeBack Coalition says it’s a real milestone for caseable and the electronics accessory and retailer segment. She believes that together they can make significant progress by rewarding industry leaders for such progress.

caseable looks to move forward with the program and the efforts that go along with it. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
