Copake KOA - 2nd Annual Poker Run for Charity

With the help of Saugerties KOA, Copake KOA will be hosting the 2nd Annual Poker Run to raise money for the KOA Franchise Charity - koacarecamps.org.

Copake, NY, September 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Motorcycle riders throughout the Northeast are invited to join the second-annual KOA Fall Poker Run Saturday, September 15. The Poker Run is sponsored by the KOA campgrounds at Copake and Saugerties/Woodstock.

The event is an annual fundraiser to benefit KOA Care Camps for children with cancer. KOA Care Camps is a network of 44 specialized summer camps throughout North America that provide a safe, quality summer camp experience for children undergoing treatment for cancer.

The September 15th KOA Fall Poker Run will begin with a continental breakfast – donated by Freihoffer Independent route owner/operator Jim Troeger- at the Copake KOA Campground at 2236 county Route 7 Copake, New York. The route meanders from Copake through the Mid Hudson Valley with stops at Woodstock Harley which is offering a discount to riders and donated door prizes; the Saugerties KOA and Dad’s Diner for an optional $10 lunch; and ends with final card draw, prizes and entertainment at the Copake KOA. Registration for the event is $10 in advance, $15 day of the event.

The best “poker hand” gathered during the event will split the registration proceeds 50/50 with KOA Care Camps. The second-best poker hand will win a $100 camping certificate, with a $50 camping certificate for the third-best poker hand.

The weekend is the Value Kard Holders Appreciation Weekend, so all Value Card holders can pay to camp Friday and receive Saturday night free.
