Shalini Vig Wadhwa, Founder 100 Degrees, Was Felicitated with the Award for "Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur 2012"

New Delhi, India, September 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The 12th Global Conference of Women Entrepreneurs, Trade Liberalization and its Global Impact on Women Entrepreneurs was held on Sept. 3rd, 4th, 5th 2012, The Ashok, New Delhi, India.

Priyadarshani Award for Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs- Federation of Indian Women entrepreneurs is dedicated to foster economic empowerment of women. Every year FIWE celebrates the success of women entrepreneurs who have achieved a milestone in their respective field of work.

Shalini Vig Wadhwa, Founder 100 degrees, was felicitated with the award for "Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur 2012." She has been a Marketing Communications professional for the last 20 years. Her experience includes being an integral part of the Marcomm team for the DLF IPO, launch of brand 'MTS' in India & recently the Emerging Artist program - "Renge Art." She conceptualized and executed the first Art Walk of the country at the prestigious DLF Golf & Country Club. She supports and is a voluntary fund raiser for many NGO's that support Women & Child education.

Shalini is one of the 30 women to receive the “Priyadarshini Award 2012”, given to women entrepreneurs from around the world. She was shortlisted from among 800 women from over 50 countries.

On receiving the Award, Ms. Shalini Vig Wadhwa, Founder, 100 Degrees, said, “I am so happy and pleased to receive this Award and feel that 20 years of hard work has finally paid off!. The winners were recognized at a Special Awards Ceremony with the Chief Guest being Smt. Krishna Tirath, who is the Hon’ble Union Minister for Women & Child Development. Following the awards ceremony, the winners were honored at a reception held by Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Sheila Dikshit at her residence in Delhi.

The Awards constituted by the Federation of Indian Women Entrepreneurs (FIWE), felicitate growth-focused, innovative women entrepreneurs, who are leaders in their respective business areas. The objective of this initiative is to bring together, recognize and reward achievers, innovators and enablers, and further promote an entrepreneurial spirit. FIWE that was established in 1993, is one of India's Premier Institution focused towards Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development.
