Boston, MA, September 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Verndale, an award winning digital marketing agency, was recently honored by the Web Marketing Association with two WebAwards for Outstanding Website due to their work on both Martin’s Point web asset, MaineSense (www.mainesense.org), and CREEs (www.cree.com) web site.
Now in its 16th year, the WebAward program is the longest running annual web site award competition dedicated to naming the best web sites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all web site development. More than 2,000 entries from 42 countries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.
"Each year, website development continues to evolve, constantly making the Internet a very competitive place to do business," said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. "As companies and other organizations engage audiences online, websites have evolved into a critical business tool. Each year the WebAwards receives amazing entries from around the world that show impressive creativity and functionality. Winning a WebAward is a great way to demonstrate the effectiveness of your Web development efforts. We congratulate all of our winners for developing websites that deliver for their audiences."
Winning a WebAward for Outstanding Website in the Health Care Category was Martin’s Point MaineSense.org (www.mainesense.org), an employer-owned health care program looking to create better health outcomes and experiences all at stable costs. Verndale created a standalone web site which could be managed from within Sitecore CMS, however not included inside Martin’s Point central navigation structure. Verndale executed the design and development offering user-friendly site navigation while maintaining a similar functionality to MaineSense.org’s parent site, Martin’s Point Health Care.
Winning a WebAward for Outstanding Website in the Manufacturing Category was CREE.com (www.cree.com), a market-leading innovator of lighting-class LEDs, LED lighting, and semiconductor solutions for wireless and power applications.
