Big Ben Parliament Creations Releases YouTube Video Created on the iPhone and iPad, for Froud Meditations App
Reno, NV, September 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Big Ben Parliament Creations (BBP Creations) has released their new trailer for the app Froud Meditations Pathways to Faery on YouTube, which was shot on the iPhone 4S and edited on the iPad 2.
BBP Creations placed Art Director Holly Hartzell-Reviglio in charge of the creation of the video back in March. The goal was to use as many of Apple’s products as possible to create the teaser trailer for the new app debuting in October. “It was a challenge to create the video this way, but I knew it would be a spectacular launch for their app if we could pull it off. We really wanted to have the vignette look to the footage, and by choosing the additional hardware for the iPhone we were able to make that happen,” stated Holly Hartzell-Reviglio.
Hartzell-Reviglio used the OWLE Bubo, a MACRO 37MM Wide Angle Converter lens, EnCinema SLR Lens, a Nikon converter, a Sigma 50mm 1:2.8 DG MACRO SLR lens, an iPhone 4S, an iPad camera connection kit, an iPad 2 and iMovie. “We ran a great deal of tests and even had to switch our Nikon lens for a more powerful Sigma lens at the beginning of the shoot in the UK. In the end we wound up with amazing footage using an iPhone 4S, and then we transferred it to our iPad 2 and used iMovie for editing purposes,” commented Hartzell-Reviglio.
Yesterday, a blog post of their process was released on bbpcreations.com, featuring an in-depth look at the set-up and shooting of a video on an iPhone and its subsequent editing on an iPad.
A teaser trailer to the app can now be seen via YouTube and BBP Creation’s and World of Froud’s Facebook pages. Froud Meditations Pathways to Faery will be released on iTunes in October and will be available for the iPad, iPhone and iPod.
Brian and Wendy Froud are two of the most well-known and respected artists working in the genre of faerie today. Wendy has developed multi-sensory meditations from those used in her workshops, and her voice takes the listener on four guided journeys to the other world and into the realms of Trolls, Faeries, Elves and Wise Ones. Brian’s images inspire and enhance the meditations and Elizabeth-Jane Baldry’s original music compositions allow the user to fully engage while exploring these enchanted realms. Having completed a meditation, the user can then sketch or take notes of their experience in the Journal that is included in the app.
The Frouds are recognized worldwide for their artwork, books, and the films Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. Brian is considered the preeminent fairy artist of our generation, while Wendy’s mixed media models have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the U.K., Europe, Japan and the U.S.A. The Launch Party for their book, Trolls, was held last night at the Goblin King’s Masquerade Ball in London and their Trolls Exhibition will be at Animazing Fine Art Gallery in NYC, opening October 3rd.
For the last 3 years, BBP Creations has developed in-house applications for the iPhone, iPad and thumb drives for large corporations. They are known for their quality apps, creativity and thorough testing to create flawless applications.
