Hollywood, FL, September 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In May 2011, Globe All Wellness engaged in a voluntary recall of a brand of weight loss dietary supplements known as “Slim Xtreme” after being informed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that certain sales of supplements under this brand name contained an undeclared drug ingredient, Sibutramine. The FDA had not approved the inclusion of this ingredient: therefore the safety and effectiveness of this product was unknown. Due to a concern that certain unauthorized entities are still distributing a dietary supplement under the name of “Slim Xtreme” possibly containing Sibutramine, all lots of this dietary supplement, except lots starting with the number 11060, are being voluntarily removed from the market. This is a precautionary measure voluntarily under taken by Globe All Wellness to clear the market of all Slim Xtreme product, whether authorized or unauthorized, that might potentially contain an undeclared drug ingredient.

Globe All Wellness is working with the FDA in order to protect the health of its valued customers and to preserve the good reputation of Globe All Wellness. Some of the unauthorized product bearing the name “Slim Xtreme” may also wrongly indicate it was distributed by Globe All Wellness. Products containing Sibutramine pose a potential health threat because Sibutramine may cause increased blood pressure and or pulse rates if ingested. This may present a significant risk in individuals with coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias or stroke according to the FDA. The Slim Xtreme product tested by the FDA displayed a lot number of 11-23-11 and an expiration date of 11-22-13. These lot numbers are not recognized by Globe All Wellness.

The authenticate Slim Xtreme product was sold and distributed nationwide via the internet and from Globe All Wellness’ headquarters in Hollywood, Florida. There are also other distributors in the market distributing similarly named products that are not authorized by Globe All Wellness to distribute Slim Xtreme. These pirated products may be indistinguishable in appearance to the average consumer from the authorized product. Due to the difficulty in distinguishing between product that is authorized, unauthorized, adulterated or unadulterated, any weight loss product under the name of “Slim Xtreme” should be returned to the supplier or Global All Wellness, except for lot numbers starting with 11060.

Due to the existence of unauthorized product infiltrating the market, Global All Wellness may not be responsible for the Slim Xtreme product in your possession. Please call Globe All Wellness at (954) 922-1133 if you would like assistance in verifying the origin of the product in your possession. However, as a precaution, none of the product bearing the name Slim Xtreme should be used except for lot starting with the number 11060.

This recall does not affect the sales and distribution of Globe All Wellness, LLC’s other brands or products. Any product returned to Globe All Wellness which did not originate with Globe All Wellness or its authorized distributors may not be eligible for a full refund.
