Simply Stylist NewYork is a three-tiered fashion event that offers a specially crafted lunch, intimate fashion panel, and exclusive shopping event. Lunch began at 1:00 at the Heartbeat Cafe in the lobby of the hotel where guests enjoyed a three-course lunch hosted by HauteLook and featured an inspirational message from Alexis Jones of I Am That Girl. Lunch was followed by an intimate fashion panel where fashion lovers got insider tips on all things fashion from some of the industry’s best. The panel, hosted by E! News’ Catt Sadler, featured panelists discussing trends for the fall 2012 season, how to style looks, which products to splurge on, and the panelists favorite designers. The fashion experts also discussed how they got to the position they hold today for all of the budding fashionistas in the audience. Directly following the fashion panel guests had the opportunity to shop an exclusive sample sale complete with complimentary hair styling by ECRU, makeup applications by Mary Kay and a photobooth with instant social media sharing.
During the shopping event, attendees were able to shop with celebrity stylist Rachel Wirkus. She and her team walked shoppers through the event and helped them select items that worked for their body type, personality and color palette. Rachel's clients include numerous A-list actresses. School of Style offered attendees a 30 minute ‘crash course’ to styling immediately following the fashion panel. Founders Luke Storey and Lauren Messiah taught attendees valuable stylist tips and showed them ways to break into the styling industry. To bring the Simply Stylist New York event to a close, there was a Blogger Style-Off. Four prominent bloggers, Jacey Duprie of Damsel in Dior, Grasie Mercedes of Style Me Grasie, Erika Marie of Fashion Chalet and Lauren Messiah of Lauren Messiah Blog went head to head putting the best look together from the brands at Simply Stylist. Grasie Mercedes of Style Me Grasie won the contest and will be featured in Marie Claire magazine.
