Aspiring Entrepreneurs Combine Modern Design with Art to Create a Stunning Lamp

Yeison eagerly got to work and created his first lighting project. After several design concepts, Aurora lamp was finalized to reflect a more artistic design pattern. Then, came the 3D rendering and prototyping. Once the design was final, Yeison and Stephanie sourced local manufacturers located in South Florida to assist with the production. “Though it was highly recommended to outsource our product, we firmly believe in supporting America and the community with the continuance of local jobs,” says Yeison. Not only do American-made products represent quality, but the local manufacturing ensures a better handling process. Stephanie explains, “We decided to go with a metal body for the lamp because of its strength. The finishing will be powder coated to ensure an extended life and resistance to scratches.” Finally, a wooden base is then handcrafted to provide balance for Aurora’s bold colors. There are also plenty of options for customization for those who prefer a more exclusive design to their space.

This is when it all became surreal for the couple. After months of hard work, late nights, and tiresome days the entrepreneurs caught up to their dream of owning a business and launching their first product on Kickstarter. In order for Aurora Table Lamps to create a wonderful ambiance for people’s homes, the funding goal of $42,000 for manufacturing the first production run has to be met by October 10, 2012.
