Projector Lamp Services Announces New Campaign: Project Green
Bohemia, NY, July 05, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Projector Lamp Services, LLC (PLS) announces a new green AV campaign. In continuing with the company’s dedication to raising awareness about environmentally friendly options for AV users, PLS has created Project Green.
Project Green (pronounced pruh-jekt green) aims to spread the word about environmentally responsible AV use, specifically for projection display users. The focus includes recycling electronic and mercury containing components, re-using or re-manufacturing products when possible, extending the life of your current projection equipment and using environmentally friendly replacement products.
PLS recognizes the need for schools and businesses large and small to adhere to green standards. More and more institutions are requiring the implementation of eco-friendly practices and products. Additionally, the US government is providing incentives to businesses that participate in certain environmentally friendly programs and purchase green products. As more information is released regarding the state of our environment, the demand for eco-friendly practices and products will continue to significantly increase.
The Project Green campaign is one avenue through which PLS can educate AV users on some simple, cost-effective and, perhaps, not well known options for projection display users. New information, special programs and contests from Project Green will be released periodically.

Projector Lamp Services, LLC, established in May, 2007, provides re-lamping services for the projection display industry. This industry has seen decreased manufacturing costs in all but one area, the lamp. Therefore, PLS has addressed this concern by developing a process that allows front and rear projector light sources to be remanufactured at a reduced cost without compromising lifetime or performance. PLS also offers a no charge projector lamp recycling service. The PLS Projector Lamp Recycling Center, focuses on reducing waste and environmental mercury contamination from the lamps found in front and rear projectors. We are dedicated to encouraging A/V users to “think green” when it comes to replacement projector lamps.
